recently i've been seeing commercials for this:


i have to go on a little rant about this. first of all, hollywood is turning into a recycling plant. remaking EVERY fucking movie possible, and it's really annoying. for the love of god, can they please start writing awesome original blockbuster flicks again??

first of all, the karate kid is about a kid who moves from newark, new jersey to california.. NOT from the united states to china. second of all, the movie is called the KARATE KID. in the trailer for the remake, jackie chan tells the kid he will teach him KUNG FU. just in case people didn't know, KARATE AND KUNG FU ARE TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT MARTIAL ARTS. karate is japanese and kung fu is chinese. what a blatant disregard for two completely different asian cultures. it's shocking that this wasn't even thought through AT ALL! and people wonder why our country is looked at as ignorant.

this movie isn't even a remake. its a similar story with a familiar name just to sell tickets. it's a load of bullshit it you ask me. it should at least be called the kung fu kid or something.

hollywood - you fucking suck you bunch of unoriginal fucks. and you're getting paids fistfuls of money to create, film and market all this crap. not to mention there will probably be toys and video games and then eventually dvds and blue rays. what a fucking scam.
