we kill children.

it's a sad reality, but it's the truth nonetheless. our precision bombs aren't as precision as we'd like to think. no matter how much intelligence we have.. no matter how much recon we have.. this is still going to be an inevitable result:

this man is carrying the body of a dead child, who was killed in an air strike in baghdad on april 29, 2008 (photo courtesy of the big picture.)

i mean seriously, how could any human being bury their toddler and not hate the people responsible with every ounce of their soul? it's impossible. the war in iraq has done nothing more than create an entire generation of future terrorists that will seek their revenge on my children and my children's children. it is a vicious circle that seems like it will never end. for almost 6 years, people in iraq have had to bury their children, parents, relatives and friends, all in the name of the "war on terrorism" and "possible" links between 9/11 hijackers and iraq, which have never been proven. meanwhile, osama bin laden (the person we blame for 9/11) runs free, and there seems to be no plan in sight to bring him to justice.

i just can't believe that bush and cheney aren't on trial for war crimes and thrown in guantanamo bay to be tortured for eternity. they sent over 100,000 of our soldiers.. our friends, family and neighbors.. over to a desert to dodge bullets. at this point, more americans have died in iraq than in the world trade center.

we were duped. we were lied to. civilians and military alike. oh.. iraq has weapons of mass destruction. remember that load of crap that they fed to us? funny how they still haven't found these "weapons" to this day. that bullshit excuse worked for a little while, until people started asking questions. then the whole tune of the war was changed. now we were some great liberators, spreading democracy and saving the iraqi people from saddam hussein.

now, if we were really some great liberators, why do we not intervene in the sudan or in the congo. people there are killed every day. sometimes hundreds per day. women are brutally raped and have their tits cut off and their vaginas mutilated by soldiers. children are shot dead just for being born into a certain tribe. the scale of violence and brutality in these areas is unreal. but guess what? the sudan and the congo are not sitting on the world's 4th largest oil reserve. but iraq is. big surprise. its all about money. we only "liberate" when there is something to be gained for us. our government could give a shit less about a bunch of black people killing each other in africa. there's no money to be made off that. there's no oil to drill.

president obama certainly has a big mess on his hands, and although it seems that he's heading in the right direction, he is most definitely inheriting a giant load of shit courtesy of satan and hitler. oops, i meant bush and cheney.

anyone who knows me, knows that i support our soldiers 110%. i have friends who are in iraq and who have been in iraq. i have friends that might still be going there. their job is to be a soldier and to go when duty calls. if my job asked me to work overtime, i'd do it. they are just doing their jobs like anyone else, and my heart is with them. but it really infuriates me to know that there is so much irresponsibility in the highest levels of our government. to know that people actively made a decision to send all these kids off to war over some bullshit agenda is absolutely sickening.
