if you are in the design field, you undoubtedly know the usefulness and necessity of having a ton of good textures. they have so many different purposes and can turn something plain into something totally sweet with a simple place underneath a layer and a change in blending modes. along with my obsession with vintage flicks, posters, ads and all that, my other obsession most definitely lies with textures. i can never get enough, and i search far and wide to find as many as possible. you can really never have enough.

generally, i don't give away too many of my sources. especially when it comes to design resources. i look at it like this. i'm not going anywhere special to find my shit. they are all freely available on the web. i just dig and search and click on links upon links and sometimes get lost in the vortex of the internet for hours. and i find a lot of cool shit. anyone can find the things i find, they just need to have the patience and dedication. but today i'm in a good mood, so i'm going to give out a few things.

first, a couple links to some sweet websites where i download a lot of free hi-res textures:

you can find some really cool stuff there if you need some background textures for design projects, or even if you want some dope flicks for your desktop background. i'm also going to do something that i've never done before. i'm going to give away some of my very own hi-res textures in the spirit of circlebox and lost and taken.

you can download all of them as a zip file here, or you can click on the thumbs below if you just want to download individual ones. i have so many of these and i will be giving out more for free in the future. i just have to organize the thousands of photos on my hard drive. anyway, enjoy and if you ever use them for anything, hit me up and show me what you did with them.

the reason.

so a few people have been busting my balls about the title of my blog. according to thaddea and thaddea2, it sounds like the name of a bad nu-metal band, which kinda made me laugh cause it could be.

so for clarification, this is where it came from. basically, i was attempting to start a blog out of sheer boredom, but apparently every fucking name under the sun is already taken. i was just typing in the most random shit and blogger kept saying it wasn't available. this was going on for like a fucking hour and i was starting to get pissed. so i'm talking to my friend from viriginia on aim and she's asking me if i ever see or keep in touch with my ex-girlfriend. so i respond "no, but she'll always have my undying hate". immediately after typing this phrase, it made me laugh and i said hey.. let me see if that is available. and fucking bingo. it was. and so hence the name of my blog.

this blog isn't dedicated to hatred, although i do harbor much hatred and contempt for a lot of the bullshit that goes on in this world. like guidos, kids with girls jeans and eyeliner, my super sweet 16 or paris hilton. the list is endless, but that's besides the point. i'm sure i'll go on rants and raves about shit that pisses me off from time to time, but if you know me, that's nothing new. mostly i'm just using this because i can't get on myspace from work and i temporarily have no internet in my shitbag apartment. so i need somewhere to put up news, events and chronicles of my drunken adventures.
